Have a look at Shibuya Ultima CP series. They’re generally cheaper than the Sure Locs and work just as well if not better. For serious target work, you do need to stick with a scope, 5 pin just won’t cut it.

My suggestion is a classic scope. Classic is a small but very particular outfit and their scopes are made with very good materials. they also provide a wide variaty of accesorries for their scopes depending on the archers choice. Their lenses are zeiss and these are equally good. the quality of thread for the scope is also tempered steel providing a good resistance to breakage. I have been using two of their scopes with approximately 500 to 1000 shots every single week for the last four years with no breakages. The design is simple yet very precisely made and is used by many world champions and pro staff shooters in the USA. Initially they may look a little expensive but they are a life time buy.

Regarding the sight I like the Davis sight which is also very well built and is versetile allowing one to use them in both recurve as well as compounds providing a host of accessories as well including attachements of the 3/8″ and the 3/10″ threads. Extra attachements for pushing hte sight out but not at the thread but right from the sight are also provided. the sight is extremly strong and comes in various verticle widths. Davis sights are designed by an Ex NASA engineer who retired and having a great deal interest in Archery designed the sight. Once more this is a very small outfit and one has to look for them. They do not have the same reputation as many of the main line units but they are very very good. Check both of these out as they make a hell of a combination.
