Which bow should I choose? Hoyt’s new Alphamax or Mathews’ DXT?
Artemis827 asked:
My draw weight is somewhere between 40-45lbs. And my draw length is 26″. I just shot the Alphamax today and it was great, but I also picked up the DXT and loved the feel of it. It wasn’t set up for me to shoot b/c it was set up for someone with a little more force than I have (thats my in the pic btw). I’m a smaller framed shooter. I am a seasoned bow-hunter, and from what I could pull out of it, it seemed to fit. Anyone with experience or who owns one of these bows fill me in on the pros and cons of your experience? Thanks

I am a fan of the mathews, although both are an excellent choice, I prefer the Mathews, but it is all personal preference, and what fits you.
I’m a firm believer in going with whatever feels the best for you and whatever you can afford. Just because I prefer to shoot a Hoyt doesn’t mean you should buy one based on my preference. Shoot a bunch of different bows until you find the most comfortable feeling bow you can. I shoot an 8 year old Champion bow. This company has since gone out of business but I still feel comfortable shooting it so I haven’t bought a new one for a while. Go with what you like best and you won’t be disappointed. Good shooting!!!
both bows are excellent bows which ever 1 you feel most comfortable with would be the best choice
I PREFER THE HOYTS OVER THE MATTHEWS,BUT I TENDED TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN MOST OF MY LIFE ANYWAYS. IF YOUR LOOKING AT THE ALPHAMAX THEN YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT THE TURBOHAWK ALSO,WHY YOU ASK ITS THE SAME LIMBS,CAM 1/2 STRING AND SUCH JUST THE RISER ON THE ALPHAMAX IS MACHINED WHILE THE TURBOHAWK IS CAST. 200$ IN PRICE DIFFERENCE MAKES A BIG DEAL ALSO AND DONT FORGET TO ASK ABOUT THE 50 DOLLAR MAIL IN REBATE HOYT IS OFFERING RIGHT NOW ALSO. GOOD LUCK AND MOST OF ALL MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH WHAT YOU GET
HOYT IT´S THE BEST
